Demoing how to make a goblet
I'll be making goblets at an exhibition at Farfield Mill this Friday (6th April). Why not come along and say hello. You can find details about the event on the Coppice Association North West's website.
bodger Morgan
Hi, I'm Tony Morgan and I make things out of wood! I use mainly traditional methods and hand tools, and all the wood I use comes from local and UK woodlands, coppices and hedgerows. My arsenal of tools comprises of things such as shave horses, pole lathes and rounding planes - all powered by my hand or foot. I love trees and wood and can't think of a better thing to work with!

Karate Tonfas
I've been working on making karate tonfas recently. A pair is held in the hands with the long shaft protecting the forearm and is used by karate practitiors when training. The tonfa is another example of martial arts equipment usually being imported from distant lands, probably made by under-paid, highly-skilled workers, and made from endangered woods. A pair can usually be bought for under £20, which is so cheap. Too cheap for the expense to the planet and our fellow humans.
Once I'm happy with my design, and it's been tried and tested by experienced martial artists I will sell them here. Hopefully I'll find a way to sell a pair for under £70.
